Visual Artist Jacqui Stewart divides her time between family life, photographing landscape surrounds
and time in her studio. A perfect combination that ignites her creativity. Jacqui grew up in Melbourne
and is now based on the Sunshine Coast Queensland, where she lives high up on a mountain range with her husband, two daughters and Bella the Staffy.
Jacqui graduated in 2000 with Honours from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT),
with a Bachelor of Education - Visual Arts; Primary & Secondary.
Jacqui has taught art in Secondary schools in Victoria and Queensland for a number of years. Having
a background in Art Education, Jacqui is a diverse artist and is always exploring different art styles as
you can see in her work. She adopted a modernist, figurative - approach to her previous paintings and designer illustrations. Her older works displays a strong Australian narrative content and is currently focusing on contemporary landscapes and photography.
